Clamoring for a Gmail invite? I've got two. I'll give one each to the first two people who comment on this entry. Be sure to leave your email address; it won't be displayed. Consider it thanks for reading.
Update: Read this comment for information on getting a Gmail invitation.
First post!
Seriously, though, this week it's like everybody's giving away stuff to the first commenter on an entry... almost makes me want to implement comments on my site so I can hand out prizes.
And just so this won't be a completely content-free comment, i've been wondering for a while about the dionidium logo on each page -- is that a font that's available somewhere, or did you whip that up yourself? Either way it's damned nifty.
Actually, never mind. An invite from someone else just popped in my inbox. Funny that.
Have fun with Gmail, Craig and murj.
The logo is in Jason Kottke's Silkscreen, believe it or not. I simply added the outline and kerned it a bit. The font was designed for use at very small sizes, but like Kottke says: "Silkscreen also works very well at large point sizes if you're looking for that chunky, old school computer look so popular with the kids today."
I recreated the logo myself, and I'm still not sure I believe it. Is there anything Silkscreen can't do?
All out. I'll announce it here if I get more. Watch these comments if you missed your chance to get an account this week.
Unfortunately, it's become obvious that some of you here already have Gmail accounts, and some of you are accepting invites from other nice folks after I've already given you one.
Fun while it lasted.
Hey, maybe you'll get lucky.
